Eltham Mens Shed

Eltham Men's Shed is a facility offering men from all works of life the opportunity to get together, have a coffee, read the paper and socialise. Those who want to get more hands-on can roll up their sleeves and try their hand at woodworking, bicycle repair or general shed maintenance.

Given the vast amount of electricity the Shed's machinery uses daily, the Shed's owners decided to go solar with a 6.6kW system.

With the help of a community grant, Eltham Men's Shed contracted Leeson Solar to design and install their solar system.

The team at The Shed wanted to reduce their electricity bill and do their part to cut greenhouse gas emissions. Leeson Solar installed 20 Jinko 330W solar panels with an SMA inverter to achieve the Shed's desired system capacity.
